Any entity, a profit making company or non-profit NGO, for the
entity to serve the social cause it needs substantial commercial
returns as input without which the very existence of the entity
itself is not sustainable. Also every ethical entity,
irrespective of its commercial or non commercial nature – may it
be a company or a trust-may it be a departmental store or
stainless steel factory or a College-is based on a social
objective (the end - defined or undefined) to serve and
invariably with a commercial revenue generating activity (the
means)-from inward by its own or outward granted by somebody-for
the entity to sustain longer.
GEMS
is a
self-supporting entity and serves its social objectives with its
own generated funds and has the policy of fulfilling the social
purpose with the commercial viability for the institute to
ensure the sustainability of the social purpose. The quality is
enriched regularly based on the feedbacks received, the funds
generated, more service delivered, and so on.
GEMS are
expanding by way of activities and infrastructure gradually
enriching the quality within its economic constraints and
viability criteria towards ensuring its social accountability |
